Tragic Update: 2-Year-Old Boy Swept Away by Floodwaters in Barstow, California

 A heartbreaking tragedy has struck a family in Barstow, California. Authorities confirmed that 2-year-old Xavier Padilla Aguilera was swept away by powerful floodwaters on Thursday evening.

The incident happened around 6:30 p.m. local time along Main Street, while Xavier was in the car with his father, 26-year-old Brandon Padilla Aguilera. Rising floodwaters quickly overtook the vehicle, leading to the devastating loss.

Family members say Brandon is completely devastated by the tragedy. "He's devastated. We're all devastated," said Carolyn Tackett, Xavier’s grandmother, describing the unbearable grief the family is going through.

Local authorities and rescue teams are continuing to investigate the incident while the community mourns the loss of little Xavier.
