📰 English Version: Ben Cohen announces new ice cream flavor to support permanent peace in Palestine

Ben Cohen, the co-founder of the world-renowned ice cream company Ben & Jerry’s, has announced that he will independently create a brand-new ice cream flavor in support of “permanent peace in Palestine.” Cohen, known for his decades-long activism and humanitarian work, said that this initiative reflects his personal commitment to peace, justice, and equality in the Middle East.

According to Cohen, the new flavor will not be launched under the Ben & Jerry’s brand, but will instead be a completely independent creation under his own supervision. He explained that his goal is not to make profits, but to raise awareness and encourage dialogue about the ongoing suffering and displacement faced by the Palestinian people.

In a public statement, Cohen said, “Peace is not something that happens overnight. It must be built on justice, compassion, and mutual respect. My dream is to see Palestinians and Israelis living side by side in harmony and safety.”

Ben Cohen’s announcement has sparked widespread attention on social media, with many activists, peace organizations, and ordinary citizens praising his bold stand for peace. Some even suggested that proceeds from the flavor could be donated to humanitarian relief efforts in Gaza and the West Bank.

However, not everyone welcomed the move. Critics accused Cohen of taking a political stance that could divide consumers. Supporters, on the other hand, argue that his stand is a powerful example of how influential figures can use their platforms to advocate for moral causes rather than commercial interests.

This is not the first time Cohen has used his voice for global causes. Over the years, he and Ben & Jerry’s have taken public stands on climate change, racial justice, refugee rights, and corporate accountability. Even after stepping back from the company’s daily operations, Cohen has continued to champion peace and equality through various initiatives and foundations.

By dedicating this new ice cream flavor to the cause of peace in Palestine, Ben Cohen once again shows the world that business leaders can be voices of conscience — proving that compassion and commerce can indeed coexist.
