U.S. Government Shutdown: Majority Blame Falls on Trump and Republicans

The U.S. government has officially gone into a shutdown after Congress failed to pass a funding bill on time. According to four independent national polls conducted just before and during the shutdown, a majority of Americans are more inclined to blame President Donald Trump and the Republican Party for the funding lapse.

Poll results show that while Democrats and Republicans have both been involved in the budget standoff, the public perception leans toward holding the White House and GOP lawmakers accountable. Analysts suggest that this could have significant political consequences, especially if the shutdown drags on and affects millions of federal workers, social services, and key government operations.

This is not the first time the U.S. has faced a government shutdown, but with public frustration growing, the political pressure on both sides is intensifying.
