Democrats Urge Prince Andrew to Face Epstein Questions in the US
Senior Democrats in the United States are calling on Prince Andrew to return to America and answer questions regarding his ties to the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. They argue that Andrew has avoided proper accountability and should cooperate fully with US investigators.
The renewed calls come after fresh scrutiny of Epstein’s network and allegations involving several high-profile individuals. Lawmakers emphasized that no one, regardless of their royal status, should be above the law.
Prince Andrew has consistently denied any wrongdoing or knowledge of Epstein’s criminal activities. In 2019, he stepped back from royal duties after his BBC interview about the matter sparked widespread criticism. Despite the ongoing controversy, US authorities have maintained that they would still welcome Andrew’s cooperation in the Epstein investigation.
