Miles Taylor Criticizes Trump’s Indifference Amid Food Stamp Crisis

Former Homeland Security official Miles Taylor has delivered a blunt assessment of former President Donald Trump’s indifference as the ongoing government shutdown threatens to leave over 41 million Americans without access to food stamps (SNAP benefits).

According to Taylor, the administration’s failure to resolve the funding crisis reflects a “dangerous disregard for human welfare.” The shutdown has halted essential government programs, leaving millions of low-income families uncertain about how they will afford basic necessities like food and housing.

Taylor, who served under Trump and later became one of his vocal critics, stated that the former president is “more concerned about political games than people’s lives.”

As the shutdown drags on, economists warn that the impact on the economy could be severe, with food insecurity, rising unemployment, and public frustration growing daily.
