Blast at Syrian Mosque During Friday Prayers Kills at Least Eight

At least eight people have been killed after a powerful blast hit a mosque in Syria during Friday prayers, according to local sources and security officials.

Eyewitnesses reported that the explosion occurred suddenly while worshippers were praying, causing panic and chaos inside the mosque. Several people were seriously injured, and parts of the building suffered significant damage.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack. However, religious sites in Syria have frequently been targeted amid years of conflict and ongoing security challenges.

Emergency services rushed to the scene and transported the injured to nearby hospitals. Authorities have tightened security in the area and launched an investigation to determine the cause of the explosion.

Analysts warn that such attacks further complicate efforts to restore peace and stability in the war-torn country and continue to put civilians at serious risk.
