He said, “Russia is a reliable supplier of oil, gas, coal — and everything required for India’s energy needs. We are ready to continue uninterrupted shipments of fuel for India’s rapidly growing economy.”

The declaration comes amid pressure from Western countries — notably the United States under Donald J. Trump — urging India to stop purchasing Russian oil. But Russia appears undeterred by such pressure.

India and Russia seem to be entering a new phase of bilateral cooperation: expanding trade and energy ties, including conventional fuel, nuclear energy, and diversified energy supply arrangements — signaling a strengthening of strategic partnership between the two countries.
